We’re Sam, Ricky, and Juno—the caffeine-loving, plant-growing trio behind Break Free Coffee and Pacific Crest Greenhouses.

Sam is our visionary-in-chief, former firefighter turned queer entrepreneur with a knack for turning chaos into community. Ricky is our head of vibes, greenhouse whisperer, and the one who actually reads the directions. And Juno? She’s our official morale booster, squirrel chaser, and occasional quality control specialist (don’t ask about the popsicle incident).

Together, we run two joyful, queer-owned businesses:

☕ Break Free Coffee – A mobile café serving up hot coffee, cold brew, and lemonades at events, markets, and festivals all over the West.

🌿 Pacific Crest Greenhouses – A seasonal, small-batch wholesale plant nursery specializing in poinsettias, fuchsias, and other vibrant beauties for florists, retailers, and nurseries across the region.

We’re all about second chances, community connections, and spreading joy—one plant, one cup, and one event at a time. Come say hi. We’re probably covered in soil and espresso.

Our long-term goal? To have our beloved Bread Queen (aka our coffee truck) on the road—rolling up to festivals, markets, reunions, weddings, and any gathering that could use a little caffeine and a lot of queer joy.

But we need a little help to get her fully outfitted and road-ready.

Life threw us some curveballs—between personal and family health challenges, our timeline hit a few potholes. But that doesn’t mean the dream is off the table. It just means we need our community more than ever.
